In-Home Care Giver

Elderly specific skills required to enable 96 year old widowed lady to continue to live in her own home.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals.
Launder clothing and household linens.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning.
General grocery and other shopping as required.
Personal care.
Administer medication.
Assist with walking / general mobility support and accompany to all external engagements as required – ex. doctor’s appointment, hairdresser, etc.
Provide companionship and intellectual stimulation.
Participate in the administration and support of household.
Desired Work Experience – 3 to 5 years working with elderly.
Education – Minimum completion of high school / post-secondary preferred.
First aid certificate and criminal record check required.
Mandatory requirement – candidate must be able to speak Italian.
Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
